Devlog Update - Refined Owner Types and Planned Future Work
We are thrilled to share the latest updates and bug fixes that significantly enhance the gameplay experience in our game. This update will focus on refining owner types and what bugs have been fixed. Let's dive into the details:
Refined Owner Types:
In our ongoing efforts to streamline inventory management and enhance gameplay mechanics, we have implemented individual owner types for each inventory slot. Now, each inventory slot has its own owner type, which is based on the owner type of the inventory component itself. This refinement further reinforces ownership control and facilitates seamless interaction with items within the inventory.
Bug Fixes:
We are excited to announce that the issue allowing the exchange of different item types, such as exchanging iron ore for bread, has been successfully resolved. Players can now rest assured that item exchanges will adhere to the intended restrictions, maintaining gameplay balance and integrity.
Future Plans:
Currency Interaction:
Building upon the currency system introduced in the previous update, it will be essential to implement the feature of increasing the player's currency when an item is dropped into the shopkeeper's inventory. This means that players will then be able to earn currency by selling items to the shopkeeper. The player's currency will be automatically updated upon item drop, providing a realistic and rewarding economic experience.
Improved Shopkeeper Actions:
To enhance the shopkeeper's functionality and provide a more intuitive shopping experience, we are in the process of creating a dedicated action menu specifically for buying items. This action menu will enable players to make purchases with ease from the shopkeeper's inventory. Additionally, we are considering incorporating a selling feature, allowing players to sell their own items to the shopkeeper for currency. These improvements aim to create a dynamic and immersive shopping environment for players.
We are committed to continuously improving and refining our game to deliver the best possible gaming experience. The bug fix and update mentioned above contributes to a more polished and enjoyable gameplay experience.
